You are in London right now? That's really cool. Maybe you can teach me a bit English... as you already see maybe. My english is really bad. No kidding! But I speak American English additionally. Fortunately you decided what to do after a good deal of thought. Same here. Taking everything into account I also noticed that today is a boring day. I wish also I could be somewhere else. That's one way of putting it. Right now I'm in Stuttgart. To cut a long story short: Everything is shit. :'D

No, I'm not living in London. If I did I wouldn't dream about being online on a Saturday night but go out instead. Smily "smilesmile"

Probably I will be in London though in April for a weekend if everything works out the way I planned. Need to do some retail therapy and want to watch James McAvoy on the theatre stage in Londons West End. Ever since seeing him in Atonement and Becoming Jane I wanted to see him do theatre and he will for a few months as of next month Smily "victory"
Have you been to London before? It's my favourite place to be. There's just so much you can do.

Me fool. I was misunderstanding that. I've read it twice and understood what you meant. No unfortunately I never have been to London before. I don't know if I'm right now, but did I catch it now that you come from London? So you're a Briton? You're english is very well uncomparable with mine. I quite believe it that London is beautiful. In the truest sense of the word it's one of the most beautiful cities of the world. So it has to be :') Where are you right now?

No, I am German grown up with a Danish cultural background as well but I'm studying translation and have lived in England for 2 years. Want to go back when I finish my university degree.
English is a language I use daily. Even the office I work in has English as working language so I get loads of exercise Smily "smilesmile"

Yeah, you either love or hate London. Took my sister once and she hated it...too loud, too dirty, too expensive, she said. I love it and go there as often as I can afford Smily "smilesmile"

You're still in school, right? High School? Maybe you'll get the chance to go there on a school trip some time. A lot of classes tend to go there.
Btw, your English is quite fine. Small mistakes in the choice of words sometimes but the more you write and speak, the better it gets.
Do you watch movies in English as well?

America was my dream before but I just don't like the American lifestyle and even worse, the accent. British English sounds just so much nicer and more posh Smily "smilesmile"

Oh, that with Barcelona was unfortunate. It's a nice city and the food in Spain is just so good.
What do you want to study then?

I'm not sure if I want to study. But maybe jornalism or something like that. I also wanted to study psychology but then I found out that the people who keep oneself busy with psychology are dumb as well. Anyway. I love the American accent. So you hate mine.... *scratching your eyes out* The british accent is something special. It sound very educated and cultured.

We actually have a discussion about accents in the other forum. Somebody posted a report that a lot of employers actually think that having an American accent make you sound more intelligent than a British one. Of course I totally disagree, as did some Americans in that forum. Smily "smilesmile"
But it's up to oneself which accent to use. I used to have an American accent as well, so my lecturer in England told me, but I got rid of it. Mostly at least. Sometimes I still have a slight American itch to my English but fortunately not that much. My friend though has a really strong American accent as she has done one school year in America.

Hmm, what other alternatives do you have in mind then? Translation? Smily "smilesmile"

edit: No. Has been would be right if she actually chose to use afraid instead of fearfully. But she didn't so it's hypothetical so might have is the right choice Smily "smilesmile" Gosh, this sounds so complicated *lol*

Oh and Ati, I'm sure you can do it. Didn't you speak to Sonu when he was in Hamburg?

Interpreting if it were up to me. An yeah maybe they think it makes you sound more intelligent because many people say that they speak faster and it's more difficult to understand it. But actually I disagree also partially. Also a Brition can speak very fast and he makes it also hard to you to understand him as well. So far.

Haha. Yeaah I also saw it after my "being a know-it-all". Actually I didn't know what she was talking about I just saw the words like the word "might" have been and then I came up to this.

Well, even in Britain people sometimes have problems understanding other English accents. I love the Glaswegian accent but it can be really hard to understand. You can hear it here: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=10McKF6mVZk
She speaks quite clear but I have heard other people from Glasgow which were much harder to understand. Smily "smilesmile"

As for the American accent...have you seen Cold Mountain with Nicole Kidman and Jude Law? Renee Zellweger is in it as well and she has a really horrible accent which I find hard to understand...
